Cover your tracks

If you would like to cover your tracks so that people cannot see the websites that you have been viewing, follow the below steps (Please note that we cannot guarantee that your tracks are completely covered). Do not add any pages to your bookmarks as others will be able to see these bookmarks.

How do I know which internet browser I am using?

If you do not know which browser you are using click Help at the top of the page. The bottom item in the list that appears will say About (and the name of the browser). This will be the name of the browser that you are using.

Internet Explorer 7 & 8

To delete all browsing history

1.In Internet Explorer, click the Safety button, and then click Delete Browsing History.
2.Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.

Mozilla Firefox 8

To delete all browsing history

1. Click on Tools and then Options
2. Click on Privacy
3. Click Clear your recent history
4. Select the period you want to delete
5. Click clear now
6.Click OK


To delete all browsing history

1. Click on History, and click Clear History

To remove cookies

1. Click on Settings (right hand side)
2. Click on Preferences
3. Click on Privacy tab
4. Click Remove all Website Data (or Details to select certain sites).


When you send an email it will be stored in sent Items. Click on sent items and delete emails you don’t others to see. If you started an email but didn’t send it, it might be in your drafts folder. Go to the draft folder to delete it. When you reply to an email, the original message will probably be in the body of the message – delete the email if you don’t want anyone to see it.

If you delete an email make sure that you go into the deleted items folder and delete it from there as well to ensure that it is removed completely.


There are many different types of tools bars i.e. Google, Yahoo etc. These toolbars keep thier own search history. To delete the history from these toolbars please follow the providers own instructions.
